Our Promise
You can return Relay within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. Send us an email and we'll refund the full purchase price. No forms, no questions, no delay.
1. Scope
This refund policy applies to all Relay license purchases made directly via our payment processor Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle") on relay-app.dev. Paddle acts as our Merchant of Record and handles both the payment and the refund on our behalf.
2. Eligibility
You qualify for a full refund if the following conditions are met:
- The purchase is no more than 14 calendar days old (date of the order confirmation from Paddle).
- The request is made in writing — by email to our support address or directly through the Paddle dashboard.
- You're not making obviously abusive repeat-refund requests (e.g. a repeated purchase-and-refund cycle for the same license).
3. How to request a refund
There are two ways. Both work equally well and lead to the same result:
- Send an email to support@relay-app.dev with your Paddle order number (format: ord_…) or the email address you purchased with. We process requests within 1–2 business days.
- Or: open the Paddle order confirmation in your inbox, click the "Manage subscription / billing" link, and request the refund directly in the Paddle customer portal.
- No reason needed. If something about Relay didn't work for you, brief feedback is welcome — but never required.
4. Processing Time
Once we authorize the refund, Paddle initiates the return automatically. Depending on your payment method, it takes 3–10 business days for the amount to appear back on your account (credit card: typically 5–7 days; PayPal: 1–3 days; SEPA direct debit: up to 10 days). This window depends on your bank, not on us.
5. What happens after the refund
Once refunded, your license is automatically deactivated. Relay remains installed but reverts to trial mode after deactivation — and enters its locked state once the trial expires. You can purchase Relay again at any time.
6. Relationship to statutory withdrawal rights
This 14-day refund policy is a voluntary promise from us and goes beyond what German and European law require for digital content. Statutory warranty claims remain unaffected. If you're a consumer based in the EU, you can additionally invoke your statutory right of withdrawal under § 312g BGB — the refund policy described here is usually the faster and simpler route.
